Tour de Cure is April 4, 2009

These clinics are NOT just for beginners…Intermediate and Expert programs are included at each event.  Watch for information about special group rides and training events between the DeTours.

ALL DETOURS ARE FREE FOR TOUR DE CURE PARTICIPANTS

February 7 – Beginner/Winter Couch Potato Kick Start

Take a “spin” in a special spin class designed for cyclist training.  Learn how to get in shape for the outdoor cycling season that is just around the corner.  A guest presentation on “Basic Training” will precede the spin class and a group ride will follow, weather permitting.  Lunch will be provided to all participants.  Everyone will also receive a free 8-week Training Guide.

February 21 – The Late Train
All Mountain Cyclery

1pm to 3pm
Not too early to mess up your morning and with 6 weeks left before Tour, it’s not too late to start training.  We will start with a light lunch at 12:30 followed by a guest presentation on “Getting Comfortable” with your body, your bike and riding with a group.

March 7 – Spring Into Action

Four weeks to the Tour and time to work on endurance.  Whatever your chosen ride, building up your endurance will make for an easier day.  It is also time to check your bike and equipment.  Las Vegas Cyclery will be holding a Blow Out Sale with special discounts for Tour participants.
Following a guest presentation on “Endurance” there will be group ride with lunch on your return.

March 14 – Pedicure!  DeTour for Women Only

Sorry guys, this is only for the women… This special DeTour will focus on equipment, apparel, nutrition and training for women.  Special guest presenters will talk about all of the above, plus we will have some “girlie” fun along with lunch and a group ride.

March 21 – The Final Stage!

Tour is only two weeks away.  Celebrate with our biggest DeTour of the year.  Guest presentations from experienced riders will offer tips for the long ride, recollections of their first cycling event and humorous commentary on what not to do, will entertain you and there will be opportunities to test out new bikes and equipment.  Lunch will follow your final group training ride.

This is your chance to learn by doing.  Change a tire, fix a chain, adjust your brakes – whatever you need to know to keep moving.  Bike experts will guide you through the tasks – but you will do all the work!  Learn the right tools for the job and how to do the job right the first time.  Put your bike on a rack and see how all the parts operate.

The clinics are free, but registration will be required.
